MA Nissan Dealership Announces More Features in 2012 Nissan LEAF

As the world’s first affordable, zero-emission car, the LEAF kicked off a whole new era of car shopping.  MA Nissan fans can look out for the next Nissan LEAF to arrive later this fal!

MA Nissan shoppers should know that it’s not stopping there. Several additional Nissan and Infiniti electric vehicles already announced or in development and the LEAF will continue to receive improvements on its already great platform.

As MA Nissan fans know, the Nissan LEAF is a medium-size hatchback with the capability of driving 100 miles on one full charge. The LEAF is powered by a lithium-ion battery composed of 48 compact modules and a high-response 80kW AC synchronous motor generating 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. The LEAF’s powertrain has no tailpipe, so releases no emission of CO2 or other greenhouse gases while being driven.

To make it as efficient as possible, the LEAF was designed with efficiency in mind both inside and out, yet offers all the practical and convenience features needed. A rear spoiler, flat underbody with rear diffuser and aerodynamically shaped LED taillights optimize both style and efficiency. The LEAF sports a roomy interior for a vehicle its size, too.

MA Nissan Fans Anticipate the 2012 LEAF

The 2012 Nissan LEAF will be offered in two trims for MA Nissan shoppers, the LEAF SV and LEAF SL. Both models will include 5-spoke 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, Nissan Navigation System, XM® Satellite Radio and Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System. The LEAF SL adds a photovoltaic solar panel spoiler that supports charging of the 12-volt battery for car accessories, fog lights, auto on/off headlights, cargo cover and a RearView Monitor and HomeLink® Universal Transceiver.

The 2012 LEAF’s safety system will include six air bags, 4-wheel Anti-Lock Braking System, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control System.
